Filmreview week 21 and 22

Dessa två veckor kommer vi att se film samt skriva filmrecension.

Det som är bra i en sådan uppgift är att ni tränar många olika förmågor.

Om ni skulle missa någon lektion i skolan där vi sett filmen, kan ni välja att

skriva er recension på någon annan film.

Writing a film review

A film review is similar to a book review in many ways.

The purpose (=syftet) of a review is to tell others about the film/book and to give an opinion about whether worth watching/reading or not.

Use these questions to help you with your review.

• What is the name of the film?
• What is the setting for the film? (setting = miljö)
• Who are the main characters? What can you say about their acting? Do they suit their parts?
• What happens in the film? Describe the plot (= handling) shortly. Main events. Do not reveal the end!
• Does the plot(=handling) catch your interest? Why/why not?
• What is your opinion(=åsikt) of the film? Exciting, boring, interesting, educating, difficult etc…
• Does the film have a message? In that case, what?
• Why should / shouldn’t people see this film?

Remember to explain why you think as you do.

Write your review in running text (löptext). You can start like this:

I have watched a film called “…….”

The film takes place in …………

The main characters are …………….

The film begins with……………

Your review should be no more than 1 A4-sheet
